Math Ridge is a free math game made by Alpine Lake Systems LLC for kids around ten years old. It is built so that we learn nothing about who plays it. In plain terms: there is no account, no login, no advertising, no analytics, and no database.
What the game remembers, and where
- When a player starts, the game asks for a first name so it can say hello and put it on the summit certificate. Nothing else is asked for.
- The first name and the player’s progress (which camps are finished, quiz scores) are saved only on that device, in a browser cookie and in the browser’s local storage.
- Our server never reads, logs, or stores that cookie. It exists so the game can pick up where the player left off without a login.
- Clearing the browser’s cookies and site data erases the name and all progress. The game’s own Start over button does the same.
Children’s privacy
Math Ridge is intended for children and is designed not to collect personal information from them. We do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The first name a player types stays in their browser and is never stored by us.
Server logs
Like every website, our web server keeps short-lived technical logs of requests (such as the page requested and the time) to keep the site running. These logs are not used to identify players and are not combined with anything the game stores in the browser.
